Zwei Teenie-Chicks hinter mir labern im lokalen Coolness-Slang über irgendeinen belanglosen Highschool Scheiss. Eine Handvoll rich-kid Pseudopunks hängen draussen auf'm Platz rum und ignorieren das tiefsinnige Kunstwerk in ihrer Mitte.

Ich habe in meinem Leben mehr als nur eine Ameise gegessen. Deshalb stört es mich auch gar nicht grossartig, dass ich inzwischen fünf davon aus meinem large caramel macchiato gefischt habe. Und wenn ich, wie jeder respektable Amerikaner, die Plastik-Kappe mit Trinköffnung auf meinem Pappbecher gelassen hätte, wäre ich auch gar nicht auf die seltsamen dunklen Stellen im Milchschaum aufmerksam geworden.

The Humanoids 2007 conference brings together almost 200 researchers from all over the world. I followed the workshop on Motion Planning for Humanoid Robots and most of the talks during the two days of Technical Program. Almost all of the reported work was of very high quality and I was very impressed, if not overwhelmed, with the state of advancement in this fascinating field of research.
